Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Isolated Subjects

An isolated tulip petal in the ground at Wooden Shoe Tulips.

This current series, which I call Anything Goes is just beginning.  This week the topic is Isolated Subjects.  Your isolated objects can be a house deep in the woods, a camel on sand dunes, or something as simple as an item left behind by someone at a park.  Have fun with this challenge. Use your imagination for this theme.  The thing is to have a lot of fun with this challenge.

Go through you photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or better yet grab you camera and take a new photo! ENJOY and have FUN.

My Entry for the Week

A single shoe left behind at the beach.

Hecta Head Lighthouse keepers residence, Oregon.  This is fairly close to the lighthouse.  The woods are just the thick, you can’t see the lighthouse, even though it is in the photo.

An isolated tree left from lumbering.

Qi (energy) hugs,

Cee

      • Sure. There have been several alphabet challenges in the past couple of years, but always room for more. Have you ever done a parts of the body challenge? Faces, ears, noses, fingers, hands, teeth, stomachs, backsides, tongues, cheeks, eyes, eyebrows, toes, heels, knees, thighs, elbows, fingernails, eyelashes, hairdos, hairdon’ts, etc.? Might be fun. Or an outlandish clothes prompt, or or….

        • Sounds like you are getting some of your own creativity back. I like that. I like your idea about body parts and fashion. I might have to do that next, I thought for a twist on the alphabet I would also keep it open to adjectives and adverbs and list several each time. That I think would help on the not so common letters.

          • I agree. I love that twist that makes it unique and all your own. I did the alphabet a few times thinking it was your blog. i always copy you and just do the prompts you’ve responded to as it makes it easy to find them..I have Bernadette’s Senior Salon on my favorites.. plus yours, the Thurs. doors and Sunday Trees. Always forget which day is which, though. For the rest, I just look at your blog and see what you have done. You are my photo muse.

  2. I do like the lone tree. Wonder why it was the only one left. I’ll bet it’s lonely. … and I’m always seeing one shoe on the road…why is that? 🙂

  3. I have a great fondness for isolated subject pictures. A single tree on a ledge, one house on a mountain. One bird on the branch. A great challenge … and of course, wonderful pictures.

  5. The photo of the single tree is really stark – I wonder why this one tree was left standing. The shoe left behind shows that simple, everyday subjects can make wonderful photos.
