Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Letters U or V

This week the topic is Letters U or V.  This week I’m starting an alphabet series.  I’m doing two letters each week.  So you can choose just one of the  letters or use both letters. You can be creative with this topic.  I am eager to  see what everyone comes up with regarding this topic.   I just want you to have some fun with your photography.

Feel free to dig around in your archives for photos if you don’t have anything new you can photograph.

For a list of upcoming topics, please see the list below.  Be creative and challenge yourself.  For a great black and white photo look for contrast or highly textured subjects to photograph.

  • Letters W or X
  • Letters Y or Z
  • Anything that Flies
  • Buildings
  • Lights
  • Couples, Twins, Two of Anything

This challenge accepts the following types of photography:

  • Black and white photography
  • Sepia tones (browns)
  • Selective color with the majority of the photo being in black and white
  • Desaturated – very little color tone left in your photo

  29. Love this! When I was learning GIMP I particularly enjoyed finding b&w pics on Google Images and adding color to them, usually painting only one thing. I love that look! Your pics are awesome!

  43. Wonderful pictures! I have a vintage buggy, but yours is better. I love the blue umbrella in the black and white field.

    And that is some impressive vulture! I’ve never seen one that closely, only wheeling in the sky. They are such huge birds.

    • We were just driving back from the tulip field and the vulture was sitting on a post and flew into a nearby tree. So we stopped and I got these photos. I love my 300mm lens. 😀

  52. I am photography ignorant. I’ll admit it. So how does one make a portion stay in color while the rest in black and white? That umbrella is stunning!
