Here is my entry for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge with the topic of Evanescent. ENJOY.
Today Chris and I had the pleasure of watching a friend of ours perform in concert that was in downtown Portland, Oregon.
Rebecca Reese – cello, studied cello at Carnegie Mellon University (B.F.A.) and the University of Denver (M.A.). She taught cello at the University of Alaska and then moved on to Los Angeles, where she worked as a freelance musician for many years. She performed in many classical orchestras and chamber music groups as well as playing studio-recorded background music for TV and movies such as: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghost Busters, Color Purple, The Natural and Star Trek III to name a few. She is currently a physician (M.D.) with a practice in cranial osteopathy and homeopathy.

Great interpretation of evanescent, Cee. I never realized you are near Portland. Being there so often myself recently, I wonder what the site of the concert was. The “Schnitz” ??

The cello is one of my favorite instruments… The third photo, the closeup… i love it… the rich colours and the wood grain are wonderful… but music is fleeting… each note vanishes to make way for the next… good choice for this challenge.

I got a lot of close ups of her bow. They are my favorite too.
