My favorite flower! There is a monastery in North Guilford, CT. where I volunteer a few times a month in the gift shop. I spotted a beautiful lilac behind the walls and asked if I could clip some for the store. I was told that a groundskeeper would get me some. This is what he brought.

My sister’s favorite flower. I’ve never seen one where the clumps are round before. Ours were always long and came to a point at the end.

Pretty shot! 🙂 I love the smell of lilacs, but our lilac is a large tree and has much more delicate whispy bunches of flowers? I’ll probably have to wait for Spring down under to get a pic.

This lilac is just starting to grow. It’s an offshoot from my neighbors.
