Share Your World – June 6, 2017

What’s your strongest sense?

Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)

If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be?

List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.  [Remember:  This is SYW where even your dreams can become reality.]

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

What’s your strongest sense?  My sight is my strongest sense …. everything I do and think is visual.

Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)  The last few months I would have to say Happy.  Although I still have a little bit of Bashful.

If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be?  I would have to say my age today.  I’m finally starting to feel healthy and happy.  My mind has never been clearer.  Yes, folks I’ll take today at age 56.  Life is good.

List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.

  • Volcanologist (Anything to with Earth Sciences)
  • Hands on Healer
  • Photographer
  • Teacher
  • Dancer (If I was shorter)

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  This past week I got a Fitbit.  And I am actually amazed at how much I am doing.  For those of you who don’t know my story, I had lyme disease and it went undiagnosed for 30 years.  I almost died about 3 times and been in a 40 day coma.  I stumped the medical professionals who I knew.  Western medicine doctors gave up on me and said we’ll keep you alive as long as we can, but the diagnoses death.  I found a qigong teacher and practitioner and started to see her.  And now it is four years later and there is no sign that I have ever had lymes disease.  My body still has a lot to over come.  So for me to even think of tracking any kind of physical activity feels like only a dream.

So if you are a Fitbit user please friend me.

Obviously this week I’m going to continue playing and walking with my Fitbit.

Qi (energy) hugs

Cee

  1. Short and sweet this week.Your answers about a different career…, are they in order? I knew about your lyme disease but for some reason, this week’s answer made it more real.I think it’s great that you were able to confound the western doctors with your recovery. Have a great week!

        1. When I was younger I thought about teaching elementary school if I became a teacher. I wanted the kids young enough before they got to molded into society roles. Now, I would teach photography, qigong or healing. Regular schools are not even a remote possibility. 😀

          1. My student teaching days were in an elementary school. Most of the kids were great, but I had this one young girl that I had to kick out of the classroom. I got called to the principal’s office for doing that. They said I had to find a way to get her involved. Right!

  2. I have a Fitbit! But I’m really embarrassed about how little I move around because of my POTS…seriously, I’m so ashamed!
And oh my goodness, that picture makes me so sad, even though it was so long ago. 😞 But I’m so glad you’re on the mend!

    1. Don’t be embarrassed by how little you move. I was down to way less than a 1,000 steps per day. And that wasn’t my worse days. Us with chronic diseases or healing from anything major it takes a huge impact on the body. My instructions for years of qigong was to sleep and heal. I’m just now being able to start to move and not be set back for a month at a time.

  4. nothing like being on the brink of death to make us cherish the little things that others do not see. I used to have a fitbit, but now have a Samsung Gear….still do not walk as much as I should, I struggle. The more I move the more pain I end up being in……….oh to be fit and 20 and no arthritis and damaged back, knees, hips yadayadayada! 🙂 still I am enjoying life as much as I can, every single day.

  5. Why would you have to be shorter to be a dancer? I think that is interesting, considering every entertaining job I see wants tall people, not shorter people like me. Take the Disney princesses, for example. They have to be at least 5’5″. I can’t remember the max height for the princesses. If I understood our daughter correctly, the villains have an even higher minimum height. Just my luck, too tall to be a munchkin and too short to be either a princess or a wicked queen. haha

I am glad that you have survived your health scares and proved those doctors wrong. They don’t know everything and many, many times are proven wrong. You’re a fighter and you will continue winning!

    1. Girl dancers need to be about 5’5″ or shorter to match up with the guys. I’m 5’10” and that is too tall, unless I am would be partnered with some one 6″6″ or over. Plus my bones are huge so weight (even if I were thin) would be a huge factor.

      1. That’s very interesting. Being on the shorter end of things, I’ve never really been faced with the limitations that tall people have to deal with. I guess we all have limitations of some sort to deal with. 🙂
        Have a blessed night!

    1. You are right, I have a lot to be thankful. 😀 😀 I was actually on a real trail yesterday and walked a 1/4 miles all by myself. Chris did the entire loop, I just went in for 5 minutes and back out. It felt wonderful. 😀

  6. I didn’t know it was possible to friend on the FitBit site… which shows how much I use mine (twice in the last month – I got it as a freebie in Jan).
Random: Remembering Bashful is the “trick” to naming all 7 dwarfs. If you start there, you’ll usually get all of them.

I’m glad you’re enjoying your current age. I hope I can one day say the same but, currently, not so much.
