Share Your World – July 31, 2017

Good morning everyone.  I thought I would switch things up a bit on Share Your World.  I will still be asking four questions, but the fourth question will be the same each week.  The last question will be about anything that inspires you.

If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?  I have worn glasses since I was six years old.  I’ve been told that my eyes have too much astigmatism to were contacts which is really fine by me.  I don’t think I could put anything into my eyes.  Yuck.

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?  Can I just say I am an animal person.  I’ve always enjoyed both cats and dogs.  Actually give me any animal and I’m eager and willing to be with them.  Just don’t give me bugs of any kind.  I will totally freak out.

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?  The yard would need plenty of trees and natural flowering bushes.  It would need to be on the edge of a town.  And mostly not in a big city.  Oh wait, that is what I have now.  I’m not looking for a new place to live or even move to right now.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. Chris inspired me last week.  Most of you know that we both have been on an exercise kick lately.  One day last week Chris asked me if I thought she would ever get 10,000 steps in a single day. I said yes she will.  She had been over 8,000 but just couldn’t seem to get to 10,000.  Anyhow, lay the end of the day she had over 10,500 steps.  It was so inspiring to see her keep pushing for that one extra step.  She was so excited.  Here is a photo of I took of Chris about 15 years ago.  She was on the beach and made a small labyrinth and was walking it.

  1. I’ve often said I hate pet photos, and I’m not too fond of the dog we’ve been dog sitting for over two years. But that doesn’t mean I hate dogs or cats. And your answer made me realize that. As for bugs, I’m definitely the same as you. Who ever said the guy has to be the brave one when there’s a spider in the house?

  2. I was gonna say something about a yard in my answer but I focused on the house. ^_^ I’m an animal person too, though I think I’d draw the line at monkeys or racoons (I’ve known of people who have those as pets). I’ll stick with cats, dogs, and maybe birds.

  3. I suspect this whole “cats or dogs” thing is made up by someone because most people have or do own both. We have had many cats. Right now, we don’t have cats. We might have one again, but not soon. But most of us just love animals 😀

  4. I love the new format but my SYW readers really enjoy the “Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?” So I am going to leave that in, okay?

  5. I was looking forward to yoga tonight, since I didn’t work out last week. I walked to the studio and found it closed and for rent. I dunno what I’m gonna do now.

I’m normally bug-phobic but was totally okay with a bee buzzing around me and landing on my arm this evening. Ever since I learned they’re endangered, my tolerance for them increased dramatically.

  7. It’s wonderful to find contentment where you are. Either that, or making your dreams into reality. I do have numbers 2 and 3 on my list, but I’m missing my gourmet kitchen. Oh, well. It probably saves me from having to throw dinner parties. 🙂
