Pioneer cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
This series I call Odd Twists meaning we are looking for the bizarre and the common things we don’t always take photos of. This week the topic is Tombstones or Cemeteries. I think this topic is fairly self explanatory. Cemeteries can be the most peace and beautiful places. They can also be quite creepy in the right lighting and weather. For those who celebrate Halloween, don’t forget to go through your photos, you may have some nice creepy delights that fit this challenge to. Use your imagination for this theme. The thing is to have a lot of fun with this challenge.
Go through you photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or better yet grab you camera and take a new photo! ENJOY and have FUN.

Some people find cemeteries creepy, but we’ve always enjoyed them, especially the really old ones. Great pictures and you obviously found some pretty old cemeteries! Love the Halloween cemetery, too.

I can see the fun in a Halloween theme but when I first read about the challenge it was just after I visited a war cemetery, a very peaceful yet incredibly sad place, and I felt I wanted to share this.

I love graveyards. My son and I often make a stop at them just to look, brush off grass clippings from those on the ground and wish we had money so we can re-carve those that are hard to see. I like the photo in between the trees, and the Halloween on is sufficiently creepy.

You and your son are great to do that … shows a lot of respect for their souls. Thanks.
