I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time?  I’m better at turning off lights than I used to be.  So my answer would have to be turn them off.  When I was younger I always left my lights on because I felt safer with them on.

What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500?  This is a no brainer, I would take Chris is the beach for the weekend.  Can you tell I’m in need of some time at the beach.  We generally don’t go during the summer months because we don’t like all the tourists or people.

Complete this sentence: My favorite thing to do on my cell phone is… check my fitbit.com data or play games from time to time.  I am not a big user of my phone.

American Ninja Warriors are my inspiration this week.  I’ve only watched the prequalifies for this year.  So please don’t give me any spoilers.  Many of the athletes stories are so inspirational.  One of my favorites for inspiration is Michael Stanger.  He first appeared on the show two years ago.  He got in physical shape for his wife Enedina who had been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.  I won’t go into details since I’m not an expert on the disease.  She was in a wheel chair for four years and her condition was terminal.  They prepared for her death.  Enedina wanted to watch Michael run the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course this was in 2015.  Watching him run that first year, with the story of why get got in shape and that of his wife was magical.  The love they celebrate was so obvious.

Michael is now one of my favorite people competing in American Ninja Warrior.  This year he is still competing and his wife was on the sidelines, walking, jumping and cheering him as ran the course.  Edendina changed her diet and started exercising and now she is off all prescribed medications and living life.  She fought to get her body back and went through a lot of pain and effort.  I’m sure she made a whole lot of other changes, but she is a miracle.

I was doing a little research this morning and found out she uses medical marijuana to help her maintain the pain that comes with the disease.  While still living in Utah she was arrested in front of her children because she used medical marijuana.  It is still illegal to use even medical marijuana.  Her family is now living in Colorado where medical use of marijuana is legal.  Hooray for them.  I celebrate her life and choices she has made.

  1. I went to 2 rallies (well, 1 rally and a vigil) to protest the events in Charlottesville. One of the chants today was “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA.” The rallies were organized by a local group called Wind of the Spirit that is an advocacy group for immigrants. I know you don’t ususally get into politics, but I really am inspired by this group and feel so much better to do what I can to keep our country the home of the free.
