I want to say Thank You Emilio for post-posting your own version of SYW last week in my absence. It was nice to see some of you participated.
What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
Complete this sentence: My favorite place in the whole world…..
Who was your best friend in elementary school (prior to age 12)?
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.
To view older version of Share Your World (SYW), click here.
If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.
I will post four different questions each week for you to answer. There are two ways which you can participate.
- Create a SYW post. Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
- Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.
I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.
HERE ARE MY ANSWERS
What would constitute a “perfect” day for you? Any day that I wake up with a smile on my face and heart and go to bed with a smile. And for me that really is most days. I know I may sound Polly Anna-ish. But my life is fun and I’m happy most days.
Complete this sentence: My favorite place in the whole world ….. today any where that is not smoky. Yep, the smoke is back. Although the moon was gorgeous last night, it was nice and orange. I’m just glad that since the last round of fires, Chris and I bought us a some Air Purifiers (with HEPA Silent Filter) for our house. At least I am breathing good air. So my favorite place, today, is my house. I do actually adore our house anyhow. Normally, I would have answered the beach, or someplace with running water and lots of trees.
Who was your best friend in elementary school (prior to age 12)? I would have to say Kathy Creager. I met her in the 3rd grade (age 9) when my family moved to southern California. Her father was in the military and he was stationed in Vietnam. A couple of years after I met her, her family was transferred to the Washington, D.C. area. We stayed friends up until she got married, went to college and had a baby. I was able to visit her a couple of times when she lived in Maryland (near Washington D.C.).
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. Last week I unexpectedly was able to help out a friend who wanted to have some audio tapes transcribed. She was trying to type them from listening to them and backing it up a lot which is the hard way of doing it. It was fun to pull out some of my old secretarial skills and make the work seem magical. With the proper equipment, I was able to complete them easily. I did get some software and a foot petal. The best part is that I felt useful, made me feel like I was contributing, and a part of the world. That gave me a great boost of energy.
Qi (energy) hugs

Feeling useful is one of the best feelings in the world!! Glad you got to do that to help your friend. 🙂 I hope the smoke clears for you soon. It’s rainy in my world today, but that’s typical late August weather here!

We get our rains starting in September. Oh do I want a lot of rains. The fires are basically between where I live and the ocean. So it blows directly my way. 😀

Glad to have you back. Hope your mini vacation was stress free and inspirational! From here on out, I’m calling you Polly. Or Anna. Waking up with a smile on your face? You should be ashamed of yourself. But, then, considering what you’ve been through in your life so far, I’ll let you enjoy your perfect days!

I was in Ashland for the plays a couple of weeks ago, and I was dumbfounded by the orange sun!!! I did not know how powerful those fires are.

Fires can give off the most beautiful colors. Our moon has been so brilliantly orange the last few days. 😀
