One of the nasty fires that is burning fairly close to where I live is the Columbia Gorge. That is where the famous Multnomah Falls is located. Firefighters are trying to the lodge at Multnomah Fall as I write this post. For more information on the fires and photo click here.

It’s good to see familiar photos of some of my old hangouts. I understand y’all are going through a lot of forest fires down the Columbia River Gorge this summer so that explains the slight haze over the area where Multnomah Falls is located. Photoshop has a great haze/fog filter in its RAW editor that would remove that haze. I love to see your work these days Cee. You’ve come a long way in the past five years or so.

They managed to save the huge lodge the was there. The falls will survive. Everything else….I don’t want to imagine.

Cee. great photos of Multnomah Falls. I used waterfalls photos for this Challenge also. One of them is Multnomah Falls, but it’s not as good as yours, taken on a day with a big crowd.

Yes, I know. Sometime I stand at a position to wait for a clear view, especially when going sightseeing, because I might not go to that place again!

The firefighters were able to save the Lodge at Multnomah Falls.

Chris’s one brother and his wife and two sons are volunteer firefighters in Pennsylvania. It is a big deal.

They are saying the Columbia Gorge fire won’t be put out for at least a month. It’s only 5% contained.

Sorry to hear that. Smoky here in Bend because of several fires. I am getting cabin fever. 😑
