Feel free to add your floral photo to the comments. This way we can all enjoy everyone’s flowers.
This flower is in honor of Lovewillbringustogether’s Weblog who has been posting poppies all week. Since the week is almost gone, I thought I’d post an almost gone poppy.

What an amazing quality you have captured in the texture of this poppy, Cee! Beautiful! 🙂 The flowers tend to wilt late in the day i find.
I have many ‘waxy’, glossy kind of poppies in this colour combination but all mine this year have been the 4 petal variety, i have not seen any 6 petal, hexagon black ‘star’ this year. 😦
love.

You know I have never paid attention to their petals before. I might have to start. 😀

It’s easy to see a field of red poppies and think they are all the same.
Mine most definitely are not – the variety i find fascinates me as they originally all came from the same tiny group of seed.
love.

I find reds and yellows so hard to photography. Wonderful picture!

Reds are extremely hard to photograph, especially outdoors. IF you do any post processing, normally adding blue tones will help.
