Here is my entry for WordPress Daily Post Weekly Challenge with the topic of scale.
Red clover field in Canby, Oregon. Noice how mall the car is in the background. You can also notice how tall our trees get. The real tall ones are most likely Douglas Fir.
Swan Island Dahlia Field, Canby, Oregon. That car is parked on the side of a two lane road with plenty of parking space on either side for visitors to the farm. These fields go on forever.
Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, Woodburn, Oregon. You can see how small the people, trees, and foothills are.Qi (energy) hugs
Cee
The last one is a real beauty and the trees really emphasise the scale of those fields. Gorgeous!

Great choices Cee. I think I love these fields almost as much as you do, and I’ve only ever seen them via your blog.

I take shots of the fields yearly. Needless to say I have tons of photos, but some years are just better years for the flowers than others.

I imagine the timing matters too – peak flower varies year to year and it only lasts so long, with roses, at least.

You do have to get the timing right. I’ve not figured out roses yet. I’m not a big fan of them.

You are quite literally buried in flowers. A good way to be buried!
