Share Your World – November 13, 2017

NOTE:  I’m having internet issues, so please expect some delays in responding to everyone.  Thanks.

Do you ever sit on a park bench for more than ten minutes?

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles, turn on the flashlight or use your cell phone for light?

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

If you adore challenges as much as I do, please check out WordPress’s Blog Event Listing for other challenges.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

Do you ever sit on a park bench for more than ten minutes?  Many times.  I’ll sit with my camera in hand and just enjoy the day and look for photos I could capture, all depending on the setting.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles, turn on the flashlight or use your cell phone for light?  Usually I will use my cell phone if it is dark outside.  Fortunately where I live that isn’t very often.  I’ll play on my lap top if it’s out for longer than a few minutes.

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?  This is an easy one for me.  I would like the $100,000 to give away.  I think that would be so much fun.

I was down this past week and Chris came to my rescue.  She came to me early Friday morning and she said should to to the beach this weekend.  So we got an oil change and safety check done on our car.  Chris asked if they give veterans a discount and since it was veteran’s day for most businesses we got 50% off our bill.  Chris was in the Army during the Vietnam War.  We got up early on Saturday and drove to the beach.  It was cold and windy, but everything that I needed, actually we both needed that trip.  We didn’t stay long, but we came back so refreshed and happy.  The ocean was calm even though it was high tide.

This is a photo that Chris took while we were at Depoe Bay, Oregon.  If you can see I’m in the photo in the magenta-reddish jacket.  You can kind of see me in the right side just about the car headlight,

  1. I’ve been thinking about a trip to the coast, but now I’ve thought about it until the mountain passes are getting snow, so the trip from here to there is probably not a good idea. Maybe in the spring. Or summer.
