Share Your World – December 18, 2017

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?

If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?

What calms you down?

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?  It would have to be a professional chef.  I am so stuck on not knowing what to cook I rarely get the energy up to cook what I like.  It would be real nice to have someone interview me and Chris and come up with some delightful meals for us on a continuing basis.

If you were to move and your home came fully furnished with everything you ever wanted, list at least three things from your old house you wish to retain?  The only thing that I can think of would be photos.  Everything else would be better than old used anything, like gadgets, computers, TVs, appliances, electronics, etc.  I would keep gifts that were given me as well.  I’d keep my lenses for my camera because there is a newer version of my camera that is coming out or just came out that I would have in my new house.

What calms you down?  Actually a hug.  Or just sit quietly holding my hands or rest your hand on my shoulder.  I need human contact.  I really do.  Then once I can calm down a long conversation usually does the trick.

I’m inspired  for a silly little thing called the internet.  We now have super duper fast internet connection and we’re not sharing a line with any one.  We found out from our new internet supplier that the old company would have so many people working off their high speed lines.  It is like they brought in high speed for an area and everyone split the speed.  So when there are enough people connected, the individual speeds go down because everyone is sharing the same bandwidth.  We now have a line dedicated to our house alone and it is super fast.

  1. Cee, your typo really made me laugh: “…I rarely get the enemy up to cook what I like.” Why would the enemy cook what you like and why would you even ask? 🙂 Thanks for bringing a good laugh to my morning (by five minutes) and enjoy the week!

  2. This is far from silly…having speedy access to the internet is hands down the biggest stress reliever when I’m blogging. I know because I pull a nutty when things go wrong with ours.

  3. Ah, that reminds me of the day we switched from old copper telephone lines to the new broadband lines. They had just been installed and we were one of the first customers. I had gone out every day and asked the guys how it was going. One day, they were packing up and the NEXT day, we had … SPEED! That was soooo nice.

  4. Yes, speedy internet is something to be happy about. I was at lunch with friends the other day who were all having a big discussion about their internet speeds and how woeful they are. It’s so aggravating when uploading a photo takes forever. I still remember dial up!

  5. I agree, a hug can be very calming but I have to say that if I’m really upset it can make me feel uncomfortable too. Depending on who hugs me I will tell that person to please not hug me as I feel like it’s taking my breath away. But in 99% of cases a hug does wonders.

  6. Super fast high speed internet would be a dream for me – our company did as your old company did, overselling it’s product until the speed is not all that it’s supposed to be. I am hoping what one of their techs told me, that they are improving the system and we will have higher speeds available in January, is true, because we are very limited in our choices.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Chris!
