If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?

What is the worst thing you ate recently?

Name five things you like watching…

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?   My first thought is, but I realized I already have that.  So I might have to go with a car dealer who actually gives you good deals.  We are starting to need a new vehicle and honestly, I am a little afraid to look at new one or even those a year or two old.  I won’t know how to start them or even know what all the new gadgets are.  We have a 2004 Explorer with no bells or whistles.  Yes we have air conditioning and the windows are automatic.

What is the worst thing you ate recently?  Honestly, I’ve liked pretty much everything I’ve eaten recently.  The worst thing I’ve probably had was Taco Bell.  I usually get a sore stomach afterwards because it is too greasy for me.  I’ve really cleaned up my eating habits and their food just doesn’t work for me anymore.

Name five things you like watching…

  • Ocean Waves.
  • Sunsets, or if I’m awake sunrises, with clouds and color.
  • Our cats playing.
  • Kids playing.
  • Birds and wildlife animals.
  • People watching.
  • The landscapes while driving.

Getting some much needed rest after my class last week.  I’m still excited about starting up a business for teaching people The Grief Recovery Method.

  1. Getting enough rest is great. I am unsure what store I might like, except maybe the place where we buy pellets for the stove, or food. I am unsure if it means ‘a single unlimited spree’ as in one giant purchase, but it seems like it, as opposed to ongoing. So, either a zillion pellets, incluidng many to give away, or a ton of nonperishable food, most to give away to the local homeles place.

  2. we’re in the same position with our truck..a 1997 ram…… least we may be able to get a few thousand more miles out of it before we need to replace it.

  3. Hi Cee, Like everything else there is an up-side and down-side to this car upgrade business. I recently went through it. The bells and whistles are really hard to master. However, the back up camera is an absolute godsend.

  4. These are always fun to read. I’ll have to play sometime. I’ve never eaten Taco Bell in my life but my ex husband was sick for days after eating there. Now it makes me laugh 🙂

  5. New cars practically drive themselves! My parents just bought a new car and they’ve been calling us for help figuring everything out. My mom sat in the car in the garage for hours the first day they had it home, reading through the manual.

  6. Unlimited spree at only one store hmm.. Waterstones, I would get hundreds of books. The worst thing I ate recently? I don’t think it was something I didn’t like to eat. But maybe salad with tuna, as I had too much of it lately. 5 things I like watching.. Architecture of old buildings, landscape through my camera, while I’m going to take photo, joy on my family faces, how my garden plants grow, older couples who keeping their hands and looking at each other with love. My family made me smile.

  7. My friend in PA just got a new car and it comes with not only heated seats but a heated steering wheel, which she’s loving in their current cold spells!! My car is a 2010 and people like to make fun of the fact that it has a computer mouse in the center console (to change things in the display… radio stations, access navigation, input addresses for nav, etc). It’s really easy to adapt to keyless entry/start – but a pain in the rear to get used to not already having your keys in hand when you reach your house door!!

  8. We really ARE on the same wavelength! You know you CAN buy a car through Amazon? And have it delivered and everything? Not through the mail, obviously, but you can indeed buy a car. If you (like me) would rather have a hands on experience, you can use Amazon as a way to check prices before you go to a real vendor. Also, you can use it to help you decide what you might really want. Around here, we have one really great dealer. I know it’s strange to actually like a car dealer, but he’s very good and carries five or six different kinds of cars, including Jeeps. AND they have a very good used car lot.

We wound up buying second hand, but I think we were wrong. We would have done better buying new. Better financing, as a start and a warranty that comes with the car. The problem was — and is — that I didn’t want one of those super electronic cars. I really don’t want a car I can’t open if the computer goes on the fritz. By getting a 2012, at least the doors CAN be opened with a key though they can also open electronically — but we have a choice. And we could get a DVD player. The newer ones don’t have them.

The newer they are, the more dependent you are on going to the dealer for everything and the dealer is more expensive than any auto repair place ever is. But a new one would have been financially a better deal. I suppose there is nothing that’s perfect. To be fair, I really love our car, even though it’s supposedly 6-years old, it only has 55,000 miles on it and it is the perfect size and design for us.

I could really get my head behind a non-stop shopping spree at Amazon, though!

  9. Ha. I did not read your answers until I had written mine and now I’m shaking my head. Why didn’t I think of a car dealership?! And why did I take the ‘like to watch’ question to mean shows or movies?! Silly me. Ah well. Good fun, thanks.

  10. I don’t read your answers till after I answer, so it was a surprise to discover how similar the things we like watching are. But then, how could anyone not like watching several of those things?
