This challenge accepts the following types of photography:
- Black and white photography
- Sepia tones (browns)
- Selective color with the majority of the photo being in black and white
- Desaturated – very little color tone left in your photo

I’m so glad you posted this. It gave me motivation to get out in my wheelchair and find the perfect road. Along the way I got some incredible bird photos too! So thank you for the inspiration!

I think the first pic is outstanding. It looks as if you’ve got a filter on it for a fascinating Wizards of Oz mood. What kind of flowers are they? I’m reading your b&w tips and am surprised to learn the extra hassle of setting your camera to monochrome is doing the shot no favors.
I’m using a found photo left on a memory card I haven’t used for years so the aging monochrome fits it well.

For the first one, I edited the color with high contrast and clarity. That gave it the look I wanted, then I switched it to black and white and then played with toning. Hence, the reason not to turn your camera in black and white. 😀 Thanks for commenting.
