Share Your World – February 12, 2018

Are you a practical jokester?

Who cuts your hair?  You, a friend, or professional.

Did you have a stuffed animal when you were a kid, if so what kind?

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

When I was young, I had a black and white panda bear.

Are you a practical jokester?  No but I worked with a guy who was a one, and I did take part in helping plan a couple of jokes on people.  It was kind of fun.  Put it this way, the practical jokes involved cement cylinder blocks, cars, and cream pies.  Not all at the same time.

Who cuts your hair?  You, a friend, or professional.  The last time I had it cut, Chris cut it.  Usually I go to a professional every couple of years and get it trimmed.  I keep it on the longer side and when it gets to long I get a few inches cut off.

Did you have a stuffed animal when you were a kid, if so what kind?  When I was really young, I had a panda bear.  I know my grandmother on my mother’s side ended up with it.  I was convinced that all my cousins who visited grandma would like to play with it.  Last I knew when I was 12 or 13, she still had it for the kids to play with.

The weather here has been utterly gorgeous.  It’s been in the 50s and low 60s and partly cloudy.  We need some rain, but flowers are starting to bud and trees are getting ready to bloom.

  1. I am practical jokester! Especially to my boyfriend and close friends And I love April Fool’s Day! I cut my own hairs and apparently I do it well. However I wouldn’t cut anybody elses hairs. I had stuffed elephant. My grandma’s friend made it for me! Last week I appreciated that I’ve completed my whole 30 diet and I could order Domino’s Pizza 😊

  2. We’ve had warmer temps, but cloudy skies and rain. Now it’s getting cold again. Winter seems confused. 🙂

Love pandas. That’s nice that the other kids could play with it, too.

    1. I live in Oregon USA. Right along the 45th parallel in an area they call the Willamette Valley. We are actually warmer than most of the state. The Pacific Ocean actually keep Washington, Oregon and Northern California much warmer than the rest of the country for as far north as we are.

  3. When my kids were little I did food tricks on April Fool’s day – rice crispy meatloaf and vanilla ice cream mashed potatoes. Other than that I’m not a prankster. I still have stuffed animals. And spring doesn’t come so early to New Jersey, so I’m jealous, but really looking forward to your photos of spring!

  4. I loved panda bears as a kid. But I didn’t get a stuffed one till I was in my teens. Have you read about the panda bears that just moved to Finland? They were a “gift” from China….
