The elk with his new antlers (raw? fresh?) is spectacular. I had to check it up because for us Europeans an elk is synonymous with a moose but wikipedia cleared that up 😀 And on Thursday (monochrome) we can compare out bulls (I’m glad I didn’t forget the s).

Hi Cee,
I haven’t been to a zoo in quite sometime. I happen to have a few photos of wildlife from an indoor exhibit. I must go to the zoo one of these days.
Your choices are fantastic. Is the wildlife artwork sculptures or a painting? Great challenge ….
Issy 😎

Some kind of sculptor. I was driving by a restaurant and the truck was in their parking lot. And obviously I stopped for a photo op.

It looks like it was carved in wood. There are many wood carvers who use chain saws to carve. It’s fascinating to watch. Thanks for letting me know. ~~~ : – )

Here’s my entry for the week. If we don’t work to preserve our environment, zoos and aquariums will be the only place left to see what were once thriving species.

Hi Cee, I’m running late this week. I love your photos – especially the elk. I’m glad we do not have such big creatures like that strolling around. Our kangaroos are dangerous enough! I’ve dug ‘roo photos out of my blog archives for this week, and am looking forward to seeing the wonderful variety of wildlife shared from around the world.
