Been anywhere recently for the first time?

List three favorite book characters.

What is your favorite non alcololic drink: hot or cold?

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

Been anywhere recently for the first time?  Actually, yes in the past month or so, a couple of places.

I got to go to a seminar from the organization Chris volunteers as a grief counselor for The Dougy Center building in Portland, Oregon.

The one that sticks mostly in my mind is a drive by photo shoot we did in Canby.  We actually found some new streets to drive.  I had though we had driven all of them.  I found this old dilapidated water wheel (?) in someone’s front yard.

List three favorite book characters.  I’m not a real huge reader and I’ve read these books years ago.  All three books left a lasting impression on me for various reasons.

  1. Celie from The Color Purple written by Alice Walker.
  2. Jonathan from Jonathan Livingston Seagull written by Richard Bach.
  3. Autobiography of the first women to summit Mt. Annapurna, the book is Annapurna:  A Woman’s Placeby Arlene Blum.

What is your favorite non alcololic drink: hot or cold?  This is an easy one for me to answer.  I drink mostly water, hot or cold.  Second would be my latte.  I have one nearly every day.  Third would be most any kind of tea, except anything with rose hips in it.  I don’t drink any kind of soda or sweet teas or fruit drinks.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This past was was busy and fortunately uneventful.  The biggest thing that went on is that we got our living room carpet cleaned and our 8’x8′ corner sofa and ottoman professionally cleaned.  We are going to be selling the sofa so we can make room for classes where we teach Grief Recovery Method from our own home.

    1. Hi Ben, you can tell your person that the Annapurna books took me down about a 10 year tour of reading about and watching movies and specials about climbing the Himalayas. Wonderful adventure.
