Share Your World – June 25, 2018

If aliens landed on earth tomorrow and offered to take you home with them, would you go? (remember this is SYW, they are friendly aliens)

How tall are you? Are you satisfied with your height?

Do you think you could live without your smartphone (or other technology item) for 24 hours?

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Even though I oftentimes will add photos to my answers, it is not a requirement to participate in Share your World.

I will post four different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World” or “SYW” tag.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.

For the Love of Challenges

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS

If aliens landed on earth tomorrow and offered to take you home with them, would you go?  I’m always up for an adventure and what an adventure it would be.  So many new things to learn and experience…in a second I would go.

How tall are you? Are you satisfied with your height?  I’m about of 5’9″ (or 175 cm).  I am tall for a woman, but not tall enough to be real tall.  So if given a choice, I’d like to be a little over 6 feet (183 cm) tall.  I actually have a couple of cousins (male) who are over 6’7″.

Do you think you could live without your smartphone (or other technology item) for 24 hours?  For 25 hours, yes.  I could do without my iPhone for longer, but not computers.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Qi (energy) hugs

Cee

  1. I used to be ready to get on the mother ship without a second thought, but now I can’t leave Garry and the pups. So they need to be part of the deal.

I would do ANYTHING to be 5’9″ tall. That sounds wonderfully tall to me!

  2. I can’t even imagine being 6 feet tall. How cool would that be?? And I agree about the computers. It’s really (really!) hard when I have to go without my laptop.

  3. Hi Cee! I will not be able to respond in a post to your questions, so I’ll do it here:
    1) As I am a Star Trek and science fiction fan, and the aliens are nice, I would absolutely go with them with the understanding that they would have to bring me back if there was no chocolate or bicycle trails on their planet.
    2) I used to be 5’9″, but shrunk an inch. When I was younger, my height was a problem because they hadn’t come out with “tall” sizes for women. Now it’s not a problem and usually I feel pretty average in height.
    3) Yes, I could live without my smart phone for 24 hours. Two days, however, is questionable.
    4) My post for today is related to what made me smile this past week. I had a weekend of sitting and eating and relaxing, which I don’t do often enough. It was wonderful!

Have a great day and fabulous week!

  4. My mom is 5’9″ but she’s also… um… big. ^_^ She’s rather an intimidating person. Then again, my daughter is 5’3″ and also quite intimidating. Ha! I fall between the two, height-wise, and am only intimidating when I want to be. My oldest son is 6’7″.

My answer to the first question is much the same as Marilyn’s.

      1. My mom’s family and my first husband’s family (on his father’s side) are quite tall. But my dad’s family — aside from my dad himself who was the black sheep in more ways than one — was quite short. My grandmother — dad’s mom was only 5’1 (or as we liked to call her 4’13”) hehehe

  5. 1) No. They might be friendly but I have no desire to space travel. 2) 5’5″… I’ve always been fine with it. 3) I’d be fine with it – I routinely turn off my phone for days at a time and only turn it back on for scheduled phone calls (weekly checkin with college rep) or to use the camera.

      1. way before it was trendy, I used to say, “I want my phone to do everything except take voice calls.” But I don’t even use txt much. I just recently started using the google feature to do quick-searches at night (cause my computer takes too long to boot up). But I could easily do without the whole thing.
