  1. I have a daylily with similar colors in a similar pattern.  (Sorry, no pix. U did it justice.)  Somebody likened each maroon splotch to a ❤ symbol ripped in half and chose "Broken Heart" to name this cultivar.

  2. I suppose the thing I really like about your daylily is that we, too have a clump just the same color blooming in our yard now here in Tennessee. Not just a flower, but a gift our son gave me one Father’s Day and a great annual reminder of our father-son bond. We have a lot of remembrance flowers in our yard like that, some from friends and loved ones now long since departed. I don’t really know you, but your daylily is one of the hooks into the shared common joys of life. I’d run out and get a picture, but it is nighttime here.

  3. Hi Cee… beautiful image, I love lilies. Don’t know if it’s gone to your spam folder, or whether I did it right, 😀 😀 (Probably Not), about listing a challenge I am trying to get off of the ground. xx Have a happy 4th July xx

  4. My lilies appreciated the bit of rain we got yesterday and perked up a bit today. There’s supposed to be more on Friday … but the lilies are on their way out, now. The roses will continue to bloom through the summer, even into September, but the lilies will be gone in a week. I love them while they are here and only wish they would last longer.
