I LOVE SUNFLOWERS!! They are one of my favorite flowers – but, I just actually found out that they are weeds…oops, pretty weeds I know.

Interesting close up of the sunflower! I grew some giant ones one year, and the birds picked out all the seeds! 🙂

I bet they’d be wanting all those seeds. 😀

We have vast fields of sunflowers in our area at the moment. I took some photos a few weeks ago and now they are large heads of seeds. My son lives near Schaffhause and he has a field opposite his house. Sunflower oil is a big industiral thing in Switzerland and our sunflowers are mainly grown for that purpose, but I love seeing so many together. By the way good angle on your sunflower head.

I love seeing sunflower fields and the way the heads follow the sun. We had them in Colorado, but we don’t here in Oregon.

One of my absolute favorite flowers. We had a few in the backyard growing up (they’d come up every summer, descendants of a few lost seeds from the year prior …) and we always pilfered a few seeds here and there, hoping to be suspected for birds … till by the time the seeds were ripe, the flower looked moon-crated … 😉 Yummy.
