SYW Revisited – September 3, 2018

As most of you know, I am no longer hosting this challenge.  Melanie from SparksFromACombustibleMind blog is now hosting it.  So please, join her and welcome her as a new host.  Here are her questions and my answers for this week.

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?   If you are ‘old’ (a term with different meanings for everyone); what stories do you tell your grandchildren?   Since I have no children or grandchildren I most likely will die without telling any stories.

When did something start out badly for you but in the end, it was great?  I really don’t know if I think of anything starting bad.  My mind just doesn’t go there. It never has.  It’s true things may not always turn out well….but they never started bad.

What do you think you are much better at than you actually are?   Maybe this one’s kinda mean…thoughts?   I am really not good at holding a conversation, wait I already realize I’m bad at that.  Actually not bad, just way out of practice.    I still think I will stay with that answer.

What would be the worst thing to hear as you are going under anesthesia before surgery?  My first thought was “I don’t even know why we are operating, there is just no hope for her”.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.   Here is the lasted update on Miss Digi.  Her surgery is scheduled for Friday of this week.  Other than her surgery, not much has been happening.

We are getting our new reclining chairs on Wednesday.  That is something that I’m looking forward to.  The smoke has finally cleared out for the most part, so breathing is beginning to get easier again.  Maybe I can actually leave the house and get some photos taken.

Here are a couple of photos of Miss Digi.

Here she is snuggled up next to Chris.  For those of you know pugs, she is small.

Here she is sleeping on my lap,  I took this photo with my iPhone.

For the Love of Challenges

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Qi (energy) hugs

  1. I’m glad that the smoke is clearing, Cee. How awful that must have been for you to deal with.

I think that would be a pretty awful thing to hear as you’re going into surgery!

I am excited for you to get your recliners! Getting ours was one (okay, two!) of the best investments we’ve ever made. They are so very comfortable, we usually end up falling asleep in them. Wh needs a bed when you have a Catnapper? haha

    Have a blessed day. 🙂

  2. Dear Cee, I am sorry to hear Miss Digi, I wish and pray for the operation. I can almost understand you all. She is so lovely, will be fine.

I read your answers and let me say this, maybe you don’t have children or grandchildren but you can tell stories still to anyone, because at the end we all have a life stories and experiences and I do appreciate all ages of life…. The question wasn’t a good one… for me.

My love, my best wishes with you all, nia
