SYW – Week of September 10, 2018

Here is my entry to Melanie’s from SYW questions for this week.

Are You A Better Listener or Speaker?  I am both a good listener and a good public speaker.  It really depends on the situation.  In normal conversations, I tend to be more of a listener.  I don’t join in chit chat well.

If You Were Asked To Design A Warning Label That Would Be Tattooed On Your Skin, What Would It Say?   “No tattoos allowed” in invisible ink.  I would never get a tattoo on my body.

What Are You Passionate About?  This is a hard question for me because I am all over the board:  for example, photography, drumming, music, staring at the rain drops on my Japanese Maple, spending time with Chris or our four legged kids.  It just depends on what I’m doing at the present time.  So I’ve think my passion is just living life to the fullest.  Finding the joy no matter what I’m doing.

If You Could Change One Thing About Your World, What Would It Be?  To be honest, the world is fine and is ever changing, I wouldn’t change anything.  I’ll let people who have their passions in saving the environment, making peace, etc.  Since I see the world as perfect, I’m the person who will enjoy it and its take pleasure in its beauty.

I found this photo and quote that kind of shows my feeling.  Everyone person contributes to the world depending on how we see it.

What Gave You A Reason To Smile This Past Week?   See my answer to the passion question.  Anything and everything is capable of making me smile.  It up to me to bring joy into my life.  And fortunately, I do feel that joy most of the time.

For the Love of Challenges

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. In case you can’t tell i clicked ‘Like’ 11 times. 🙂

The world IS perfect – it’s us who are not and we see it accordingly.

I was going to say how wonderful Anne Frank’s quote was before i realised either she was being ironic or she’s just wrong. When people try to make the world a ‘better’ place nearly all of us start from the incorrect assumption that it needs making better and somehow we are ‘qualified’ to say how it should be done. We look at things in it that are ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’ by our judgement and then react to those in an effort to make them ‘right’ and ‘good’ – as we see that it should be.

God made the World and everything in it – the thing He wants to make ‘better’ is who we have let ourselves become through our actions and choices: something different to what He had in Mind at the time. When we learn how to see it His Way (as you seem to me to be very close to doing) only then are we qualified to determine what needs to be done to make things ‘better’. 🙂

    God is within you. ❤

  2. I love your answers. I agree with you, the world is perfect! The little imperfections lie in the humans that inhabit it; I think we humans are beginning to learn from our mistakes, we are evolving and becoming more aware that our actions are spoiling our habitat, but I’m certain we can make it right.
