Here is my entry for Becky’s Timesquares for December. Her rules for the month are listed below.
I thought it was time to show off some seasonal poinsettias.
The December theme is TIME. I am sure everyone has found at least one #timesquare, but just in case you are struggling here are some #timesquare ideas;
- Timepieces – clocks, watches, sun dials and egg timers
- Sayings – Time & tide wait for no man (or woman!), A stitch in time saves nine, Early bird catches the worm, In the nick of time or More haste, less speed
- Synonyms – era, moment, season, infinity, interval, lifetime and age
- Out of the box – nighttime, downtime, pastime and mealtimes!

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I do think they’re going a bit nutso with the colors, but they are so pretty.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the purple plant. Purple?!!! It is pretty, though. Now I am looking forward to a turquoise plant.

I had assumed it was some kind of dye process.

The purple has quite a unique leaf shape, compared to the ‘original’ at the top.

The purple and other unique colors are painted on cream poinsettias by the nursery. I wouldn’t advise anyone to do it on their own,

Ahhl never heard of that being done before. Be disastrous if I tried!!!

It’s got to be some kind of breathable paint.

Amazing! I didn’t know they came in so many different colors. I was surprised to learn that they are a subtropical plant, indigenous to Mexico, and related to my cactus!

It is wild. 😀

Really? Everything I’ve read says there is no such thing as a purple poinsettia unless it is dyed. You found this in the wild?

Poinsettias out here are not wild. They are either dyed painted… expect for white, off white, red and pink. 😀

okay.. I thought you were responding to my saying the purple had to be died by saying they were wild.. meaning you found them growing in nature. I was trying to think where you were as they are a tropical/subtropical plant. Life’s confusing, no???
