We are JUST beginning to get flowers, but we are also getting some really depressing weather. I looked at the forecast for the next 10 days — and NINE of them are for rain. No flower is going to want for a shower, that’s for sure. I hope they don’t drown in the mud of the garden!

We’ve had cool (for us), cloudy and rain most of the last two weeks. So flowers are budding and opening. Tulips are staying closed unless the sun comes out.

Just gorgeous! I don’t have the energy to grow dahlias anymore. I have to appreciate them vicariously!

I’ve given up on trying to grow them myself. I only live 2 miles from the dahlia farm, largest in the North Americas.

Beautiful Cee! I am determined to grow some LARGE dahlias this season. I’m growing one tuber already indoors, to give it a head start, and have several others just waiting to plant in pots for their head start. I bought both the dinner plate, my favorites, and pompoms, my husband’s favorites. I hope to have some pictures to share near mid-summer.

So pretty, Cee. Dahlias always remind me of my dad. He used to grow some real beauties.
