Great selective colouring with your birdhouses, Cee. I really like the theme because houses define an area where you live. Although you can find old half-timbered houses all over Germany, they a different in every region. I picked a few examples form southwestern Germany: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/05/30/half-timbered-houses/

Nice shots of wooden houses. They work well with monochrome. Here’s my attempt:

I’m with Susan: the lighthouse photo is really nice. It captures the loneliness of the duty and the warmth of the home.

Hi Cee,
Isn’t ironic that a lighthouse isn’t a house yet it has the word house in its name?
Fun selections as always. Have a super fun weekend.

Actually the one that is shown here, back in the day, the light keeper did stay in this house part. 😀 I agree though, most lighthouses were never meant to be lived in. 😀

I love all these houses. I’d like to stay in the first two houses, A lighthouse would be fun too although maybe too many stairs for me and the birdhouses are really cute too.
