Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #50 and Sunday Trees #396

Here is my entry for Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Trees.  This also my entry to Becca’s Sunday Trees – 396 Tree challenge.

These two photos are of Sequoia Trees.  On the photo below, that is Chris in red at the bottom.  This tree is about 150 years old and stands over 125 tall.

This a street near where I live, these sequoia trees were planted probably 30 years ago.  They were planted one in each yard of a subdivision.  The tree actually takes up the entire yard.

This last tree was taken at Willamette Mission State Park and this Cottonwood tree is the tallest in the US.  It is over 200′ feet tall.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. Great trees … 150 years old and still looking great. But I have to be the worst … I posted an oak that is 500 years old. 200 feet tall tree, that is tall. *smile

  2. 200 hundred feet tall. Such beauty and majesty.
I like standing at the bottom and looking up, and of course the long row of trees.
It’s nice to see trees given such respect.

  3. Just wonderful, Cee, these big trees! These are not common in Sweden…and I do not know about the Cottonwood tree, I don’t think I have ever seen one. And 200 feet tall – that is Big!
