Here is my entry for Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Detail.
I adore close up and macro photography because I love the seeing all the detail in things.
I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

You flower macros, especially, are always gorgeous, Cee. I was in the doctor’s office yesterday looking at the flower photos on his walls..….yours would be so much better!

Oh what a nice compliment. One doctor I had said that flowers like I take excite the patients too much. That blew my mind.

That is nuts. Totally nuts. I remember the room I’m in by the flower photo on the wall. No excitement there!

Gorgeous details! I have a macro lens but just don’t seem to have the hang of using it yet. I always seem to get closer shots with my 300 zoom. I know I’m not doing something right. I should really practice.

Oh I use my 200 and 300 zoom all the time for macros. Just depends on how close in your really want to go. Just have fun with your photography. I am starting to put together a professional website where I’ll be teaching composition for photography and lenses will be covered.

Oh, Cee, please let me know when that site is up. Right now I’m experimenting and learning on my own, (and trying to dig back into 40+ year old knowledge), I would very much like to follow that website and learn more, especially so that I can get more consistently good photos. I’m hoping I can go at my own pace,, so on my less healthy days, I’m not tied into a set schedule. And of course, some things just take longer to learn than others!

I love macro too for the same reasons you do! I recently got a new camera with its own macro lens. Still figuring it out. Your images are nice and sharply focused – my goal as I learn 🙂
