Fan Of (pugs) … Daily Post #17

Here is my entry for Jez Braithwaite’s Daily Post #17 challenge.  Chris and I have now had pugs for nearly 20 years.  Our girls always make us smile or laugh.

Miss Maddie (Madeline).  She’s now nearly 1 year old.  She loves to chew anything and everything.  She is pictured here with her 10 inch braided chewy.

Miss Digi (Digeridoo) just turned two years old.  She adore people and loves to be with them.  She is a good big sister to Maddie.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. Ha! I got a kick out of this. I love my doggies. Here’s proof: The other day I got up in the morning and discovered there was a dead bird laying on the couch. A gift. We all know who is responsible, but I love her anyway.

  2. I have a cousin in England who has pugs. One year she hosted the National Pug Rescue annual event. There were about 150 people and maybe 100 pugs. There was an egg an spoon race ( most of the owners ended up eating the hard boiled eggs) and a costume contest that was won by a pug dressed up as the Queen Mother with a hat and a string of pearls. Second place went to a black pug wearing a costume like the Phantom of the Opera! At the luncheon pugs were up on the tables and helping themselves to bits of sandwiches. It was an extraordinary event and I have never forgotten it!
