My entry for the week
I will probably be a little slow in responding this week. I was in ICU in the hospital over the weekend. I am home now, just moving slowly. I’ll post more later.
These last fire hydrants were all taken in a town near me called Scotts Mills, Oregon.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs,
Cee
What jolly fire hydrants .. Take Care Cee.. 😉

Something only related to fire hydrants by a very tenuous connection:

We used to have funny painted fire hydrants, but now they went back to the plain old boring ones. https://grannyshotit.photo.blog/2019/08/21/cffc-fire-hydrant/

Hi, Cee 😁 Love the selection of colourful hydrants. I think mines a bit of a stretch on the subject matter, but you’ve got to work with what you’ve got: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2019/08/21/cees-fun-foto-challenge-spot-the-fire-hydrants/

oh my Cee . . . . that’s quite a big thing to be in ICU. Hope it was a planned visit rather than emergency one, but whatever the reason wishing you lots of love, hugs and get well soons xxxx

Your hydrants are wonderful! In 1976, the bicentennial of our country, the hydrants in our section of New Jersey were painted with patriotic themes. I wish I’d had the foresight to take pictures of them!

We have fire houses, fire trucks, fire hoses and not one single fire pump. We have pump wagons that brings water, but no pumps — and no piped in water to our area. So actually, I do not in all of my pictures have one single picture of a fire pump. Nor is there a fire pump anywhere in the Valley. Oh well!

These are pretty playful. Ours are all the same and I think it might be illegal to paint or deface them, so it’ll be a challenge to get an interesting photo.

I know one colourful fire hydrant in our area but I’ve posted a photo of it before so I went for more ones that look like they mean business (I added the cute one at the bottom, though): https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2019/08/20/man-the-pump/

Wow ….. only in the USA … love every one of them, so funny. I like the spotted one … but I think the one in the grass is a lot cuter. *smile

I don’t have any pictures of fire hydrants. I’m going out tomorrow and will keep my eyes peeled but I can’t imagine finding any as whimsical as yours. What a delightful collection!

How funny! I’ve never seen fire hydrants decorated that way! great photos!. I think I would have problems to submit pictures this week because in my city all fire hydrants are concealed on the walls and covered by an ugly metallic plate who says “firefighters only” and displays some numbers.

I have plenty of fire hydrants all from the same area as a friend had asked me about if most of them are black. See some of the various colors in my blog post: https://chava61photography.photo.blog/2019/08/20/cffc-fire-hydrants/
