October 29 – Square&Lines Challenge – Snow and Ice Lines

Here is my entry for Becky’s for #OctoberSquare challenge and her topic this month is #Lines&Squares.

This morning the temperature outside was well below freezing and the house was cold when I got up.  I thought of an ice and snow storm we had here is Canby at Christmastime 2008.  We got 16 inches of snow after an ice storm.  (Note:  our average snowfall is less than an inch a year.)  Here are a few photos from the storm.

On this photo, even our house was covered in ice.

The theme is #lines&squares, and your lines can be long, short, straight or curvy. They can also be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, perpendicular or even zig zag.  There again perhaps you might prefer them intersecting, natural, singular or in stripes. As you may have gathered there are no line rules, as whatever your line everyone is welcome in square photographs!

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

    • It just didn’t go away for a week so no one could go out of their house unless they had a 4×4. We are not equipped for that kind of snow. 😀

  1. We are such wimps here in sunny Florida. The nighttime temps are going to be in the 40’s this weekend and we’re all talking about how cold it’s gonna get!

    • It’s all a matter of perspective. I wore a trench coat when I lived in Southern California and heated it over the heater before I turned it on. 😀
