  1. Wow! What a great photo of the bald eagle! We have them here in Maryland too. Just the other day, one flew overhead. It was very low to the ground. I could see all of its features in detail- the feathers, the talons, the beak, even its eyes. I swear its legs were as big as my forearm! Like a superstitious ancient Roman, I couldn’t help but perceive it as a good omen.

    • It must have been a good omen. This eagle had his eye on a possum. We actually called the authorities because we were afraid the eagle would fly down and try to get the possum. It was on a semi-busy street in town. We stayed watching the eagle until the possum was gone.
