The topic for this week is “Get Outside”. I really don’t care if all you do is stand outside for a few minutes and take a selfie or a photo from your front door. You can always go some outside and take a hike, a drive or ride a horse just remember to bring your camera and take a photo or two. I know for me just being outside, I get a sense of joy and adventure.
Tip from Ingrid Fetell Lee: Get Outside. Nature quiets the part of the brain that can’t help sweating the small stuff, reducing stress and restoring our ability to concentrate. Take note: research shows we forget how good we’ll feel after a walk in the park, so give this one a try even if you don’t feel like it!
Feel free to use your photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or even better yet grab you camera and take a new photo! ENJOY and have FUN.

My entry for the week
Yesterday, we had a break in the rain, so I got outside and took some photos in my yard. The birds even came out to play.
Robin feasting on the ground.
Woodpecker enjoying eating.
Camelia buds. They won’t bloom for at least a month.
Rhododendron bud.Again this won’t bloom for a couple of months.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs,
Cee
Great concept, Cee! I’m glad that I am here at the inception of this new challenge. Thank you! 🙂

P.S. Sorry to double dip, but I just had to give you props for the robin photo. It is so clear and crisp. His eyes seem to be looking right back at me. Stunning! This is what nature photography is all about as far as I’m concerned. To elaborate, nature photography should grab people and make them realize that they are simply part of a whole. All life is inter-connected. The photograph of the robin does just that. I see it. I feel very close to it. I feel as if I know it better than I did before I saw the photo. Am I being to analytical? Too wordy? If so, I apologize. I just get really excited by great photography!

I’m thrilled you like the robin photo. Yesterday was magical. We had 4 robins in our front yard. Starlings in your side yard and in our trees and feeders. I had the woodpecker and even saw bluebirds in our backyard. I sat outside for while and all I could hear was bird song, It was a wonderful feeling. I even had to get Chris to come out and listen to the birds. 😀

I went outside yesterday when it was hovering around freezing. It’s -8°C (18°F) feeling like -17 with the wind chill today.

Great photo of a … robin. American robins look so different to European robins (there are more like fluff balls). But you captured it perfectly!

Robin’s are usually not here in the wintertime, so it was even more special to see them. 😀 We had four in our front yard,

Beautiful photographs Cee and such a lovely idea for a challenge! We love being outdoors and for our first contribution I’ve played with the shutter speed a bit and attempted to pan the camera to capture the joy and energy: https://whippetwisdom.com/2020/01/09/haiku-born-anew/
