This photo I took last year May 18, in my front yard.

Beautiful! Love peonies, mine has not even peaked up from the ground yet.
i got a bit confused by your dating, but I think you have published two FOTD for March 23 and got a day behind in dating the posts.

Lovely. Do you know if they are biannual? Last year ours never quite got the oomph to bloom, but had the year before, and we have only lived here a couple of years so I couldn’t base expectations on past performance.
