Feel free to use your archived photos for this challenge since most of us are staying home these day. Stay safe, healthy and happy!
The topic for this week is “Plant Sunflowers“. I’ve always loved sunflowers. They come in so many varieties too. I’ve never had them in my own yard or garden though. Let’s see some sunflowers this week or if you don’t have access to any sunflowers or its seeds, I would like to the type of flower that puts a smile on your face. Feel free to take new photos or use your archives.
Tip from Ingrid Fetell Lee: Plant sunflowers: These cheery flowers are easy to grow and thrive in most climates. In spring, pick up a pack of seeds for about $3 and plant an inch deep in any patch of sunny ground, keeping soil moist until seeds sprout. (If you don’t have a garden, try planting in an abandoned lot or a neglected spot along the sidewalk.)
Feel free to use your photo archives and see what photos you have that fits the current week’s challenge, or even better yet grab you camera and take a new photo! ENJOY and have FUN.

My entry for the week
These first two photos were taken at a local farm a few years ago. These sunflowers are like 2 feet in size. The flowers get so heavy once the seeds start to form they fall. The second photo is a close up of the head and you can actually see seeds in their shell.
Click on any photo to see a slide show. Enjoy the view.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Hi Cee. Not posting a pic for the challenge but though I would tell you what happened last week. A Family friend died last week, (not of the Virus). The nursing staff had found out in the few days she was in hospital that she had 3 grand children and 3 Great Grand Children. So as the Son said is ‘thanks’ for their care of his mother, they gave him a packet of Sunflower Seeds for each of the Grand kids…… I thought that was rather a nice touch 🙂

Sunflowers are certainly cheerful. I think the one in my post was spotted on an outing rather than home-grown! https://sueswordsandpictures.wordpress.com/2020/05/14/on-the-hunt-for-joy-week-19-plant-sunflowers/

That they do. Have a terrific weekend Jo. Don’t know if I’ll go anywhere this weekend, it is suppose to rain. But then I love the rain, so no real complaints here. 😀

One of our beaches are opening on a trial basis with lots of restrictions. So we’ll see how it goes. Hope you get to them.
