I love those yellow day lilies. They used to be garden flowers, but now, wind, birds, and maybe a few bees have transplanted them all over the place. You see them along the rivers and sometimes showing up wild in your own garden.

This is one flower I’ve not seen in gardens. As cut flowers or flowers in nurseries yes. 😀

I have always loved these. I used to buy a bouquet weekly when I was younger. 😀

Beautiful, Cee 👏 Looks like some Alstroemeria I just bought & will probably feature in a couple of days 😃

I have more photos to display of these. And yes, according to Judy, these are Alstroemeria.

I thought, that looks just like an Alstroemeria–then looked it up and discovered it was! I’ve never heard that name for it before. Used to be a component in most commercial bouquets, and they were the flowers that lasted the longest, so long as you stripped the dead leaves away. Nice shot.

Thanks Judy for commenting. Also for the formal name of these guys. 😀

Sweet! I received a bouquet for Mother’s Day with a similar flower.
I wonder if they’re common in flower shops. Lovely …

They are really common in shops…especially grocery stores or they were years ago when I bought them all the time for myself. 😀
