Here is my entry into Ann-Christine’s of Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Surprise.
Earlier this year, March 18, Chris and I were just driving around some of the country roads near us and we ran across these clowns. Not many people drive these back roads and it was such a fun surprise to see such delightful colors and happy faces. They just wanted to make me laugh.
I just love Donald O’Connor. Digi, one of my pugs, when she is excited will jump off the walls.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I don’t know…at night those clowns might be a little more sinister.

And they were just standing by the road? A surprise indeed!

Yep. I thought they might be propped up for a party, but they’ve been there awhile. 😀

Ha ha. Love the clowns! We watched Singing In The Rain several (many?) months ago. Superb movie. I read that co-director Gene Kelly made O’Connor do that wall climbing sequence over and over, and Donald said he was exhausted! Gene, Donald, and Debbie Reynolds, who hadn’t danced much yet in her career, do an outstanding song and dance sequence, where they climb over the back of a sofa, and all kinds of other gyrations. Just outstanding.

The dancing in that movie was terrific. One of my favorites from that era. Debbie Reynolds up until that movie had never been a dancer.
