Here is my entry for Becky’s for July Square Perspectives challenge. This is also a special entry for my CFFC: Anything to do with planes and jets.
The Boeing 747 from different perspectives. Click on any photo to view slide show.
Here is a photo of the 747. And no this is not squared.

Look at how tiny the people are. You can actually walk underneath it and have plenty of headroom.
Now to get you started here are a few perspective definitions;
- Art – the method by which solid objects drawn or painted on a flat surface are given the appearance of depth and distance.
- Geometry – the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance.
- Point of View – a particular way of considering (looking at) something or the capacity to view things in their relative importance
- Vista – seeing something over distance or time
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I remember when I was in college, there was a place you could got that was at the end of the runway of Atlanta Intl airport before the current expansion. We would go watch the planes take off and you would cringe with the 747s because they barely had enough room with the length of the runway at that time. Course that was back in the stone age…

I remember I could do that at Stapleton International Airport (Denver’s airport many moon ago). It was always fun.

Very timely sharing this as British Airways have just announced they’re retiring all of their 747s.

Aluminium Overcast 😉 Nice shots Cee. Becky has mentioned the BA 747 retirements but I think there will be freight versions of the 747 flying for quite some time to come. I’ve seen 3 pass overhead in the past 2 weeks.

Boeing stopped making new ones a couple of years ago. They will slowly fade away 😀
