Here is my entry for Becky’s for July Square Perspectives challenge. This is my favorite bridge to take photos of.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

In the last year or so, I’ve started to pay more attention to bridges and their functional need at that specific location (besides the obvious, anyway >grin<). This one's a beauty.

The bridges in Oregon are simply wonderful. Most of the really good ones were built by Conde McCullough

Awesome! I took some cool bridge photos on our roadtrips last year. But you have to be ready with the camera when you get there! Love your photos!

When I’m hunting for photos, Chris drives and I have camera ready in the passenger seat. It’s a typical rule in Oregon. I do give her a break every now and again and do some driving 😀

I learned right after I got my camera, if the windshield is fairly clean, you can get awesome photos right out the window! 🚗🚘

My windows turn the photo a little, greener, but that is easy to fix. I get a lot of road photos that way. 😀

It’s a fascinating bridge. It crosses from Oregon to Washington States and crosses the Columbia River not to far from where the river joins the Pacific Ocean.

what an extraordinary bridge, and the way you have photographed it is just brilliant. Have you ever been across it on the one day they allow pedestrians? Would be an amazing bridge to cross on foot

It’s over 4 miles long. I wouldn’t want to walk it. The steep part is way too narrow for the big trucks, and a walking lane. One a brighter note I have walked the Golden Gate Bridge (when I was in my late teens). All I remember it was a gorgeous sunny day which doesn’t happen in San Francisco…it’s usually gray and foggy.

oh wow didn’t realise it was quite that long, maybe not then!! And how fabulous to have walked the Golden Gate bridge, and that was only once!

I just wished I was into photography at the time. I probably did have my instamatic. But I don’t have any photos from back then 😀

For me, that is the scariest bridge I have ever been on. 🙂 I have to have someone else drive so i can close my eyes. Beautiful to look at though.

I’ve not driven it, I always have my eyes looking through my camera. LOL

On that bridge no way would I drive and photograph. If I do my own driving and photographing, I stop the car to snap. LOL

Can’t quite get my head around how steep it looks

It’s like a rollercoaster ride. It has to go up that steep to allow the big ships to go down to Portland.
