(Note: all my challenges will run as normal)
Well the carpet did get removed and the floor painted. The paint we used is oil based so we are still “airing” out our living room. The house still smells a little bit. Actually everything in the living room went quite nicely. Took a day or more longer than we initially thought. The paint we used didn’t dry as fast as latex so we now of kitty footprints throughout the house. Both Chris and I think it is rather cool.

Here is our new white floor with the girls on it. We have their bed and some bones. A table is temporarily set up. We still have some exercise equipment to move in.
The refrigerator was delivered as scheduled on Wednesday, but that has some complications to it. So it is sitting in our garage still in it’s box. We need to call a plumber because there is no turn-off valve for the water that is connected to the ice maker. Strange thing is we don’t even want an ice maker and want it shut off. The plumber won’t be able to come until Monday. So we are now in week three of not having a refrigerator.
We are both surviving on protein bars (all natural, gluten free and vegan). But enough is enough. We also are having prepared food delivered. We did buy a small refrigerator, but my insulin takes up 75% of that. So we can’t keep a lot of things cool. So we are still waiting.
There is a small possibility we might have to demolish our kitchen island because it was built after the old refrigerator was put in. We are keeping our fingers crossed on that one.
Anyhow, the good news is I did make it to the dahlia field today and here are a couple of photos. More to come in my Flower of the Day Challenges. The next week our temperatures are going to be close to 100 degrees so I won’t be going back there until the temperatures cool down a bit.
I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I can relate to the living off protein bars and delivered food, as we are in the middle of a move and renovations. Hang in there.

Looks good. I love painted floors! And they’re not kitty paw prints, they are artistic territory markings so the girls know who is in charge. Lol. I so empathize on the refrigerator. Love you both. Air-Hugs & Air-High 5 on the floor.

You could just turn off the water to the house and do the plumbing . I once painted myself into the corner of a room while painting the floor.

It is not that simple. The place where it should be the water turn off … isn’t. The last owners did a lot of upgrading to this house. They had a relative who was a contractor supposedly and everything they did we’ve had to re-do or fix. Windows leaked, electricity outlets and lights don’t always work. So it’s a matter of ……

So love the floor colour and kitty prints should highlights 🐾 glad you have been busy. Ice makers in fridges are not water or energy efficient so yes disconnect. Have a fabulous weekend Cee 😀

I so agree with you on disconnecting the water. This one has an ice maker we aren’t hooking up. It is just an open tray for ice so it’s just extra storage. 😀

Oh it felt so good and weird at the same time. They only open the fields at certain times to control the crowds. So getting real good shots this year with early morning or late evening will be impossible. It’s way too sunny when they are open to get the best shots. But it did feel so good to be back in the fields. 😀

Great news that you got to the dahlia fields. You’d have been so pleased to know you’d get there earlier this year. Rather less good about the fridge. I hope that is soon sorted.
When I was getting to know my sweetheart, he had stripped back a wooden floor, polished it and painted a trim. He turned his back for a moment then discovered cream kitty prints on a corner of the floor. Him laughing at it was one of the things that attracted me to him; it’s good to know you two are the same.

Yes we are the same. The prints will remain as long as we are here.
