Here is my entry for Something to Ponder About blog, Friendly Friday Photo Challenge with the topic of Quiet Places.
These first two photos are of Milo McIver State Park. The burning closest to my house is in this area. I don’t know if the fires have altered the looks of the State Park or not. I took these photos earlier this year.
These two photos were taken in the Silver Falls State Park area earlier this year. There is also a wildfire burning in this area. Time will tell if thee areas will still be quiet and beautiful.
I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I love the third photo – the portrait shape of tall trees. Stunning.

i think that shows off the height of our Douglas Fir Trees the best. Thanks for commenting,

They’re all lovely shots and places but the second and third shots are the most appealing to me. That second has such a view and the third a feel of complete quiet and peace.

A wonderful place Cee. I hope that some of the State Parks survived 🤞

Believe me so do I. Both areas are getting hit hard with fires. This winter I might be able to drive around and find out.

Beautiful photos. Forest fire are devastating but the will of nature can not be matched. She will again be beautiful.

So very beautiful . . . . . I don’t envy you when it is safe to explore again returning here to see how much has changed.

Yeah, it’s kind of creepy to think about. The actual parks might be saved, but the areas around them….I’m not sure.

I certainly hope that beauty is spared from the hunger of the forest fires.
