One-to-three Photo Processing Challenge – November 2020

Here is my entry for Kate at The Squirrel has started a new monthly challenge, called One-to-three Photo Processing Challenge.

Here is my entry for this first week. I decided to play with a photo I took of Chris making large bubbles and both Miss Maddie (black) and Miss Digi (fawn) pugs watching.

This first two are uncropped versions. One in color and the other in black and white.

The next is a cropped version, showing reflections in the bubble on the top and I lift in Maddie.

This last photo I cropped and used selective coloring. I lightened the black and white part.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts.  So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

  1. I love those iridescent colors and the way you used the black and white to make them pop.
Cute how the dogs are watching the bubble so intently with the same cock of the head.

  2. What a stunning set of photos. How on earth do you get one photo “sliding” over another?! And how do you keep the colour on part of the photo while the rest is black and white? What are these two techniques called, and what software do you use for editing? I’d love to experiment. If you have time from your busy schedule, I’d love to know more about how you do it.
