Here is my entry for Lisa’s from Our Eyes Open blog, Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge with the topic of Birds in or Near Water or Snow.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

I’ve never really taken that many shots of birds, but after visiting Huntington Beach State Park in SC where we shot birds in and on water I really want to get better. Your second photo is what I’m striving to do — so very clear and pretty. Thanks!

It’s fun taking photos of birds. Just be patient, because birds tend to move a lot. Good thing we are digital, you can throw out all the photos that are a bad blurr. I’m so glad you like that second photo.

Thanks for the tips. I have a few that show promise. I just need to work on clarity — and being quicker to take the shot!

Love the goose. I love the color of his beak, too — that bright orange. What a great challenge as we are still digging our way out of this week’s snow!

That goose looks miffed at the ducks being around 😀 😀

He really does. I think he was miffed at me not feeding him 😀

The goose looks as though he is gritting his teeth under his breath. Any idea what kind of ducks those are in the first pic? 🙂

They are Egyptian Geese. I should have said that, because they are not typical ducks.

That’s okay….you are sharing now. I’ve seen them on lists when out west, but never seen one. I have even seen a Mute Swan either. 🙂

When I took that photo earlier this year, I had never seen one either. I took it at a Wildlife Safari. 😀

Maybe one of these days. At least I know what they look like now. 🙂

It’s their eyes, which I didn’t get well, that are really attractive. It was a drive through Safari, and I only had a 300mm lens, so I couldn’t get closer. 😀
