Cee, thanks for featuring my blog this week! Your collection today had me ooh-ing and aah-ing! I had to Google that amazing column; so this morning I learned about the Astoria Column. Adding it to my list of things I must see when I finally get up to the Oregon coast… someday. 🙂

LOL. I usually don’t schedule ahead of time. We will both have to wait until January to see what I come up with. I’m getting ideas though. 😀

Cee, Please let me know if I did this correctly. It has been so long, and WordPress is so confusing to me. I still do not understand concept of a “pingback”– I am going to start the new year off with more photography.

It is the Astoria Column. Here is some info from Wikipedia.
The Astoria Column is a tower in the northwest United States, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River on Coxcomb Hill in Astoria, Oregon. Built in 1926, the concrete and steel structure is part of a 30-acre (12 ha) city park. The 125-foot (38 m)-tall column has a 164-step spiral staircase ascending to an observation deck at the top and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1974.
It is a real cool place to visit. You an see Washington, several rivers, including the Columbia River and the Astoria Megler bridge.
