I echo Yvette’s comment, and the deer look so sweet. Did they come up to you?

If I was allowed out of the car, they probably would have. There is an area in the wildlife safari where you could get out of your car and feed them. But with Covid you can’t anymore.

I know that Safari. We lived less than a half hour or so away in Cottage Grove, OR. I don’t think we got out of the car just because…

The area itself is kind of creepy feeling. But I sure did enjoy the safari 😀

As I remember it was south of Drain – what a name for a town, right? The only redeeming factor in the entire area besides the Safari was an old trailer where someone opened a hamburger joint. They served enormous amounts of the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted.

It’s in a county that is all right winged republicans and not to nice people. That country along with a couple counties bordering Idaho actually wants to succeed and become part of Idaho. When we got of the freeway, I just felt scared. I had no idea at the time what was going on in that area politically, but I sure felt it.

We lived in Lane County a million years ago. The college was pretty much a hippy liberal town, and Springfield and some of the smaller towns were much more conservative. But we did not live in the division that permeates the world today. I know that norther CA would like to break away and become the new state of Jefferson. I know you are right about Idaho. Vince’s brother moved there a few years ago. He’s back in CA now.

The clouds are rolling back in and it’s getting colder. So yes, summer would be welcoming 😀

That’s a delight. We have deer here, both in local parkland and wild – we saw two cross the road in front of us this morning, which is pretty unusual.
