Here is my entry for Tina of Lens-Artists Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of From Forgettable to Favorite.
For those of you who know me, I don’t do a lot of editing of my photos. A little crop and brightness here and there. Here are a few I found that I thought had some significant differences.
Click to enlarge any of the photos.
Yaquina Head Lighthouse is my favorite lighthouse in Oregon. My original photo is on the left

Here is a bearded iris. I basically cropped the photo and brought out some of the vibrancy. Original photo is on the left and the edited version on the right.

This is a US Coast Guard ship on the Columbia River. This one I did quite an edit. I like the warmer colors on the left with my edited version.

This is a photo I did a lot of playing around with color. Original on the left.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

Such an interesting post! I have learnt a lot about editing just studying your wonderful photos.
I particularly love both lighthouse shots, and the close up of the iris; such a striking bloom.

I don’t like photos as well all artsy. But then, I’m not that kind of artist. I am a pure photographer and want my photo to look photographic. Although there are some real outstanding artists aa well as photographers on the blogs. 😀

LOL for the funky hairdo on the final image Cee! I hope you knew the woman and shared this one with her! Loved your images as well as your edits. Interesting how such a minor edit on your opener made such a significant difference in the final image.

Unfortunately I didn’t know her. I had that photo for ages. Last year, I wanted to use that photo for some challenge and decided it needed more color 😀 Thanks Tina 😀

Those photo came out quite different, especially the hair on the last photo. She looks better with streaked hair and a more interesting blouse, I think. Less serious. Fabulous alterations, Cee.

Great choices. I love the color changes in your last image. So well done, I first thought the original multicolored top was just hidden in the shadows.
