FOTD – March 17 – Hyacinths and Daffodils

Welcome to my Flower of the Day Challenge (FOTD).  Please feel free to post every day or when you you feel like it.  Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts leaves and berries as well as flowers.

These photos I’m dedicating to Margaret from From Pyrenees to Pennines mentioned she liked the creamy hyacinths from yesterday, so I thought I would gift her this photo.

  22. What a wonderfully spring-like photo. Here in Sydney we are heading into autumn, with cool rainy weather. Sadly, our spring is so short and our winters so warm (relatively speaking) that spring bulbs don’t do terribly well and if they do flower, they don’t last.

  31. Two — lilies and orchids! I love your daffodils. I’m hoping we still have daffodils this year. I think it’s possible that the skunks have done in every last bulb. They got the crocus this year and the last few remaining tulips. There are some disadvantages to living with a lot of wild creatures. They aren’t well trained and do whatever suits them. Patience, patience. I guess I’ll have to enjoy your flowers instead.
