Here is my entry for Nancy Merrill Photography’s, A Photo A Week Challenge with the topic of Take a Unexpected Focus.

These next two photos, I tired focusing either on the dahlia for the metal bird. I don’t think either one really worked. Your thoughts. It always worth trying to explore different ways of taking a photo, even if it does work.

I’ve gathered a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.

The dahlia in the foreground unfocused is quite distracting. Whereas the flamingo in the blurred background looks at home 🙂 🙂

If I were to use any of them, it would be with the blurred flamingo. Honestly, if it wasn’t for this challenge, I would not have posted them. I just thought it was neat to show off extreme differences.

I sometimes get photos like the second when I want one like the first. 🙂

Sometimes it works both ways. I usually trash the one that doesn’t work, so I really don’t have a lot of surprise blurs left. 😀
