Here is my entry for Becky’s for April BrightSquare challenge. This is also my entry for Hammad,’s Weekend Skies Challenge.
The tree in our neighbor’s yard was taken down on Thursday. This tree has been dying for the past five years. It was also the tree whose branch fell in our yard during the ice storm. It was good to see this tree come down. It was a beautiful bright day with blue skies. I was able to sit outside and watch him and his ground crew for hours.

I’ve put together a list of challenges and their hosts. So if you know a challenge host, please direct them to my blog. Feel free to contact me anytime. I hope everyone will be able to use my lists.
Qi (energy) hugs
Cee

Fascinating, Cee. Now you yard will be brighter and safer! 🙂

That tree actually gave shade to the east side of the house. I walk into a bright kitchen now. 😀

Yay! They can be overpowering, Cee. And it’s quite costly to have them removed. We’ve had to have several removed. It’s nice to be in a condo now – no more landscaping woes. I can see one thing I miss in photography is patience. You have amazing patience and get great shots because of it. 🙂

Great shots! The sky made an amazing background. We had to take down a big tree in our yard, and I was amazed by how fast and nimble the man worked.

Great photos, your camera is great! I’m always sad when I see a tree going down, but sometimes it is necessary.

This tree needed to be taken down. We were lucky when the big branch crashed down. Only the top branches hit our house … it hit hard enough to shake the entire house.

I’m glad to hear that old tree didn’t do damage to your house! Great photos, especially the one with the sawdust flying out!

I ended up with some great sawdust flying photos. I got over 300 photos of the tree coming down at various stages. 😀

Chris and I cheered when the last branch that would have fallen on our house came down. The guy just smiled and gave up thumbs up 😀

They were. They even came to ask if they could clean up the mess in our yard. We passed because it is mostly sawdust and that is actually really good for the yard. It was amazing the little debris they left behind.

It was pure joy watching him up in the trees. He was so agile, balanced and ever so strong. On stop of it he was nice too. 😀

My kid does this only around power lines. Makes a mama proud (and very anxious). It always makes me chuckle – dream job: getting paid to climb trees. 😉 Enjoy the sunshine!

I can see where it would really fit some people and their personalities. I bet mom get anxious though 😀

Great shots Cee! Too bad about the tree but you can see the death rings in the log of one of those photos. We have some trees that have to come down too.

If the biggest part that faced our house had fallen in the ice storm, it would have split our house in two. Believe it was nice seeing that tree come down. It has worried us for the last couple of years.

I understand that! My neighbor had a tree come down in Hurricane Matthew. It landed a foot from his roof in the middle of his backyard. It wasn’t his tree. It was neighbor behind him. The one and only tree he had in is front yard came down too and hit is house. Damaged his front porch area. Minor damage compared to what it could have been. We have a lot of trees in our backyard and I worry during every hurricane. 🙂

Oh I bet you do worry during hurricanes.

Yes just a little bit. The wind storms we just had that took our feeders down caused more damage than the last tropical storm. 🙂

I’m so sorry for all the damage. I know what that can be like. 😀

Yeah, it happens but I’m thankful that we have not endured tornadoes like they have been having in Mississippi and Alabama. I can live with what we have. 🙂

Not an easy task to take down an old tree like this.
But seeing this from your yard on such a lovely day is certainly amazing 🙂
